Working with authors and professors as clients proves an interesting challenge. As intelligent subject matter experts, their main priority is to ensure the cover of the book reflects the very complex content that lies within them. At the same time, the packaging of the content must provide an entry point to the reader that is not too complex and visually engaging. These book covers represent a few covers that made it through the narrowing-process. Some survived to have a life in-market, some did not. Striking a balance between representing complex information and giving the reader motivation to open crack the cover.
